The French title "De la Terre à la Lune" translates to "From the Earth to the Moon" in English. It is a science fiction novel by Jules Verne, first published in 1865. The novel tells the story of the Baltimore Gun Clubs ambitious project to launch a projectile from Earth to the Moon using a giant cannon.

The story is a classic example of Vernes imaginative and scientifically-informed adventure stories, often considered a foundational work in the science fiction genre. It explores themes of scientific ambition, human ingenuity, and the possibilities of space travel, all while incorporating elements of adventure and suspense. The novel was followed by a sequel, "Around the Moon," which details the projectiles journey .
